YUKE’S to Handle Production of Musical Performance Motion Using Zero Edit Motion Capture at New Form of Live Event Experience Featuring PolaPoriPosuPo
YUKE’S Co., Ltd. (hereafter, “YUKE’S”) is pleased to announce that it will be producing motions created using Zero Edit Motion Capture technology for the “evolved live music performance” We are POLARIS, based on the original IP PolaPoriPosuPo. The event will be held on November 3, 2026 by Bandai Namco Experience Inc. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President & CEO: Hiroshi Kawasaki).

The technology behind the event includes ALiS ZERO, a real-time rendering engine developed by YUKE’S, gNuuw Inc.’s ultra-high-precision character matching tool, and Zero Edit Motion Capture, developed jointly between Bandai Namco Experience Inc. and instrument manufacturers. Used in conjunction with each other, these technologies capture subtle, performer-specific motions of live performances in precise detail, including the movements of fingertips when pressing down on guitar and bass strings, drumstick motion trajectory, and the physical motions expressing the rhythm and feel of the performers as they play.
YUKE’S will produce the motion data of the characters’ musical performances, creating “zero edit” motion capture data that requires no post-capture corrections.
A massive LED monitor spanning the stage from ceiling to floor will be installed for the event, with a motion capture area set up behind it. In that area, professional musicians will perform live, feeling the raw energy of the audience while their performances are motion-captured, allowing the on-stage characters to appear alive and energetic as they react to the crowd in real time.

For this event, our focus was capturing the performers’ movements with a high degree of precision to ensure that the feel and subtle nuances unique to performing live are conveyed directly through the movements of the characters.
When it comes to a musical performance, the motions of the performers’ fingertips and drumsticks are essential expressive elements, but so are the rhythm and feel of the performers’ body motion. In using ALiS ZERO to faithfully reproduce performer motions with this degree of precision, we believe we have taken steps toward approaching “ultimate performance realism,” making it feel as though the characters themselves are actually performing in real time.

About PolaPoriPosuPo
PolaPoriPosuPo is a fully-formed band IP project based on the theme of “having the courage to live as your true self.” In 2024, the project held a CGI live performance at Kanagawa Kenmin Hall, which attracted a total of approximately 2,000 audience members.
With a focus on the fusion of technology and creativity, the project pursues new forms of character expression using AI and other cutting-edge technologies. “A New Form of Live Music”
This event marks a new form of live music entertainment in which the visual performance is fully synchronized with the musical auditory experience, producing a heightened sense of immersion. This results in previously-thought unachievable “ultimate performance realism” as characters themselves appear to actually be playing instruments in real time. By precisely synchronizing the music created by the performers with character movement, this event offers a new live experience in which music and character expression come together as one.
About ALiS ZERO
ALiS ZERO is a real-time rendering engine developed proprietarily by YUKE’S, which allows motion capture data to be output in real time as high-precision CGI data. The engine is equipped with a range of features which reimagine the concept of motion capture CGI video production, including real-time rendering, real-time display of multiple characters, and real-time compositing with live-action footage.
About Zero Edit Motion Capture
Zero Edit Motion Capture is motion capture technology that requires no manual processing after capture, eliminating the need for manual post-capture corrections, and allowing captured data to be used as generated video content directly as it is recorded. Ushering in a new era of live music entertainment, this revolutionary new method of capturing motion data was made possible through a combination of ALiS ZERO, a real-time motion capture engine developed proprietarily by YUKE’S, gNuuw Inc.’s ultra-high-precision character matching tool, and a joint development project between Bandai Namco Experience Inc. and instrument manufacturers Fender and Roland.
